After staying here for 4 nights in July, I’d say this hotel is best suited to people who want a slower-paced holiday. It’s not about rushing out every morning to explore the island, it’s about enjoying the hotel, spending time together and making the most of the facilities.

One of the things that stood out to me was how easy everything felt from the moment we arrived. Our flight was delayed, meaning we didn’t get to the hotel until late in the evening after the restaurants had already closed. However the team had prepared sandwiches for us, which was such a thoughtful touch after a long travel day and instantly made us feel looked after.

The hotel itself is located in Boukari, a quieter fishing village on Corfu’s south-east coast. This means you get beautiful sea views and a much more peaceful setting, but it also means there isn’t a huge amount happening directly outside the resort.

If you’re looking for nightlife, beach clubs or lots of restaurants you can walk to every evening, I’d probably choose a different area of Corfu. But if you’re looking for somewhere to relax, enjoy good food and spend quality time with your friends, the location works really well.

The Room I Stayed In at Mythos Palace Resort Corfu

During my stay at Mythos Palace Resort Corfu, I booked the Superior Room with Side Sea View on an all-inclusive basis, and I stayed in room 1415.

When I first saw that it was a side sea view room, I wasn’t expecting too much, but I was surprised by how good the view actually was. From the balcony, you could see the hills and greenery on one side, with the sea stretching out on the other. It felt much more like a sea view than I was expecting.

The room itself was spacious, modern and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Even though I only travelled with my carry on bag for four nights, there was plenty of storage space, so I think it would work well if you were staying for a full week or travelling with larger luggage.

The bed was probably one of my favourite parts of the room, it was one of the most comfortable hotel beds I’ve slept in. After full days in the Corfu sunshine, coming back to a comfortable room made such a difference.

The design was modern with wooden detailing behind the bed, neutral tones and a private balcony overlooking the resort and sea views.

The only thing I would mention is that while the rooms feel modern overall, there were a few small signs of wear and tear. For example, the white sofa in our room had some visible marks, which stood out against the otherwise clean design.

It didn’t affect our stay, but if you’re expecting every detail to feel completely brand new, it’s worth knowing. Overall, I thought the room was a great size, the view exceeded my expectations and it had everything we needed for a comfortable few days in Corfu.

It’s one of the most beautiful areas of the island, with colourful streets, historic buildings, local shops, cafés and restaurants. It’s a great place to spend a few hours walking around, grabbing food and seeing a different side of Corfu.

If you don’t have a car, a taxi from the hotel to Corfu Old Town costs around €65 each way, so it’s worth factoring this into your budget.

Exploring Nearby

Because Mythos Palace is located in Boukari, there isn’t a huge amount directly around the hotel, which is something to be aware of before booking.

Nearby, you’ll find:

Mythos Palace Resort Corfu is located in Boukari, a small fishing village on the south-east coast of Corfu.

This part of the island feels much quieter and less touristy compared to areas like Corfu Town, Kavos or Sidari. It’s surrounded by sea views, greenery and small local spots, making it a good choice if you’re looking for a slower-paced Greek island getaway.

The location is definitely one of those things where you need to know what you’re booking. The peaceful setting is one of the hotel’s biggest advantages, but it also means you’re not in the middle of the action.

Getting To Mythos Palace Resort Corfu

I hired a car from Corfu Airport, and the drive to Mythos Palace took around 40 minutes. However, looking back, I don’t think hiring a car was necessary for this trip.

The roads towards the hotel become quite narrow and winding, especially as you get closer to Boukari. If you’re not a confident driver, I can imagine the journey feeling quite stressful, especially if you’ve just arrived after a flight.

Instead, I’d recommend either:

• Getting a taxi from the airport (around €60)
• Booking transfers through your travel provider
• Using the excursions organised through the hotel if you want to explore

What I Loved About Mythos Palace Resort Corfu

After staying at Mythos Palace Resort Corfu, there were a few things that really stood out and made the experience feel special.

The Side Sea View Was Better Than Expected

When I booked a Superior Room with Side Sea View, I wasn’t expecting the view to be one of the highlights of the room, but I was genuinely surprised.

From the balcony, you could see the hills and greenery on one side, with the sea stretching out on the other. It was the kind of view that made sitting outside with a coffee in the morning or a drink before dinner feel like part of the holiday.

One of my favourite things to do was head to the rooftop bar around sunset. The views from Ouranos Rooftop Cocktail Bar are beautiful, and it’s definitely the spot I’d recommend visiting if you want a drink with a view.

Overall, what I liked most about Mythos Palace was that the experience felt easy. There were enough options to keep your days interesting, but it never felt like you had to follow a schedule or constantly be doing something.

The roads around the hotel can also be a little challenging. As you get closer to Boukari, they become narrow and winding, and if you’re not a confident driver it can feel quite stressful, especially after a long flight.

It wasn’t an issue for me, but in the July heat it’s definitely something you notice. I’d recommend bringing a portable fan, especially if you’re visiting during the summer months. The hotel does have golf buggies available from reception if you need help getting around the resort.

One of the main reasons I think the all-inclusive option works well at Mythos Palace Resort Corfu is because it gives you plenty of choice without having to plan every meal during your stay.

The all-inclusive package includes:

For a few days away, it made everything feel much easier because you could choose where you wanted to eat depending on your mood, rather than having to research restaurants or make plans every evening.

There were plenty of options including:

There was enough variety that you could have something different each morning, whether you prefer a lighter breakfast or something more filling before a day by the pool.

Lunch

Lunch was where I thought there was the most variety, as you had different options available around the resort.

Vivaldi Italian À La Carte Restaurant – A great option if you fancy something different from a buffet, serving Italian-inspired dishes.

Olea Beachside Bar Restaurant – This was a lovely spot for lunch because you can eat right by the beach. It’s perfect if you’re already spending the afternoon by the water and don’t want to head back up to the main restaurant.

Noodle Bar – A more casual option if you want something quick during the day.

Zoe Main Restaurant – The main buffet option with a selection of different dishes.

Dinner

Dinner is served at Zoe Main Restaurant, where the cuisine changes throughout the week.

During my stay, the themes included:

The Pools

The hotel has 6 pools in total:

The outdoor infinity pools are definitely the highlight, with beautiful views overlooking the sea and plenty of space to relax.

One thing that surprised me was how easy it was to find a sunbed. I visited in July, so I was expecting the usual rush first thing in the morning, but there were still plenty available throughout the day.

Having multiple pools really helps because you don’t feel like everyone is gathered in one area. Whether you want somewhere quieter to read and sunbathe or somewhere closer to the pool bar, there are different areas depending on the type of day you want.
