The Best Things to do in Rhodes 2026
Rhodes will always hold a special place in my heart as it was the last girls’ trip I went on before getting married and honestly, it was the perfect way to unwind and destress with my bestie before the big day. I had no idea how much I’d fall in love with this island until I arrived. From postcard perfect beaches to charming old towns and the most magical sunsets, Rhodes really has a bit of everything. If you’re planning a trip soon, here are my best things to do in Rhodes.

The Best Things to do in Rhodes 2026
1. Lindos

The moment I arrived in Lindos, I honestly felt like I had stepped straight into Santorini! The whitewashed houses on the hillside, winding alleys filled with charming boutiques and stunning views of the Aegean Sea make it one of the most magical spots in all of Greece. As you drive into the village you’re instantly greeted by that jaw dropping panorama. People do actually stop their car (safely park it where there is a spot available) to take pictures of the view as you drive into Lindos.
Make sure you bring your swimsuit because Lindos offers not one, but two breathtaking beaches – Lindos Main Beach and St. Paul’s Bay, both with some of the clearest turquoise water I’ve ever seen. Between sunbathing, swimming and exploring the maze of whitewashed streets, you’ll easily lose track of time here. If you’d rather not drive, you can book a half day express bus tour from Rhodes Town which gives you around four hours to explore Lindos at your own pace.

2. Acropolis of Lindos

For anyone who loves a bit of history, a visit to the Acropolis of Lindos is a must. The incredible archaeological site dates back to the 10th century BC and you’ll find it located hilltop overlooking the Aegean Sea. The walk to the top takes around 20-30 minutes so make sure you bring comfy shoes and plenty of water as the climb can get hot in summer, but the panoramic views from the top are 100% worth it.
I’d recommend going early in the morning to avoid the midday heat, and if you’re visiting in peak season make sure you buy your tickets in advance to skip the queues.
3. Kallithea Springs

I can hands down say that the best €5 you’ll spend in Rhodes will be on the entry ticket to Kallithea Springs. This beautifully restored spa complex has the most stunning architecture, with mosaics, archways and landscaped gardens that are just made for taking photos. The whole place feels peaceful and luxurious, and the bay right next to it has crystal clear waters which is perfect for swimming.
You can easily spend a few hours here so make sure you plan for at least a half day here. It’s open daily from 8am and tickets can be bought at the entrance.

4. Anthony Quinn Bay

Just a 15 minute drive from Kallithea Springs is Anthony Quinn Bay, and honestly it’s one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever seen. The cove is surrounded by green hills and rocky cliffs, and the water is so clear it looks like glass which perfect for snorkelling! If you’re a foodie make sure you stop for lunch or dinner at Kounna Beach & Resto Bar, which overlooks the bay and serves delicious Mediterranean dishes. For sunset lovers, make your way up to the Anthony Quinn Bay Viewpoint where the views are absolutely magical as the sun dips behind the cliffs. And if you want to see the bay from the water I highly recommend this 3 hour boat tour that visits Anthony Quinn Bay, Ladiko Bay and Traganou Caves. Prices start from £40 per person and it’s the perfect afternoon activity for a girls’ trip.
5. Old Town Rhodes

Rhodes Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most charming places on the island. You’ll find it surrounded by medieval walls and full of cobbled streets, fortress gates and historic buildings which feels like you’ve stepped into a Disney film (no really, that is how it actually feels). You can easily spend hours walking through the maze like alleys, exploring local shops and stopping at cute cafés for iced coffee or gelato. Just outside the medieval area lies the New Town where you’ll find the Mandraki Harbour and the New Market Hall, which are both worth checking out for shopping and waterfront views. If you want a fun and different way to see both the old and new towns, join a guided three wheeled electric scooter tour. It’s such a relaxed and unique experience, perfect for covering more ground without walking for hours.
6. Symi Island and Saint Georges Bay

I love the idea of exploring one island and then taking a day trip to another, it feels like you’re getting two adventures in one. And a visit to Symi Island should be high on your list as it feels like stepping into a pastel coloured dream. The harbour is lined with brightly painted neoclassical houses, and every corner looks straight out of a postcard. The island is only accessible by ferry or organised boat tours, which usually take about 90 minutes each way.
Many tours also stop at Saint George’s Bay which is a secluded swimming spot surrounded by dramatic cliffs and the bluest water you’ve ever seen. Just note there are no toilets at the bay, so plan accordingly! You’ll usually have enough time to swim, sunbathe and explore the colourful harbour before heading back. I booked my tickets via Viator and prices started from £35.
My favourite travel tip
My go-to travel tip is always getting an eSIM before I go, it makes everything so much easier when you land. I always use Holafly and you can get 5% off with my code THEGIRLSTRIPTO.
7. Elli Beach Club

No girls’ trip is complete without a beach club day and Elli Beach Club in Rhodes Town is the ultimate spot for it. The decor is super aesthetic, the atmosphere is lively and it’s right by the sea which makes it perfect for spending an entire day tanning, sipping cocktails and swimming.
For the brave there’s even a 26 foot diving platform in the open sea which I didn’t try but it’s great fun to watch others take the leap! Beach beds start from around €30 and I’d recommend booking them in advance, especially during the summer months when it gets busy.
8. Ronda Restaurant
Right next to Elli Beach is Ronda Restaurant and it became one of my favourite dinner spots in Rhodes. The restaurant is set right on the beachfront, offering the perfect setting for a sunset meal that turns into a lively evening atmosphere. The menu is packed with Mediterranean inspired dishes with fresh seafood, grilled meats and not missing out cocktails.
It’s a beautiful place to dress up a little, take some photos and enjoy a meal with your girls. I’d highly recommend booking a table in advance because it gets really busy during peak season.
9. Dream Cream
You’ve probably seen Dream Cream all over TikTok and Instagram and trust me it’s just as good in real life! This Insta famous ice cream shop is known for its fun, colourful creations that are as pretty as they are delicious. They offer tons of flavours from classic vanilla to creative seasonal ones, and they obviously look amazing in photos.
It’s located in the heart of the island and I visited after I was done at Elli Beach Club as it’s only a 15 min walk away.
10. Faliraki

If you’re after a mix of relaxation and nightlife, Faliraki is the place to be. It’s one of Rhodes’ most popular resort towns with a long sandy beach, lively bars and beach clubs that stay open well into the night. I’d recommend visiting Naya Beach Bar which as the most amazing entrance I have seen!
During the day you can relax by the sea or visit Faliraki Water Park, which is actually one of the biggest in Greece and is great for a fun, refreshing day out with your besties.
11. Palace of the Grand Master

For history lovers, the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes is a must visit. This beautifully preserved medieval castle sits right in the Old Town and is one of the most impressive landmarks on the island. Inside, you’ll find ornate halls, mosaic floors and centuries of fascinating history tied to the Knights of St. John.
12. Scuba Diving Experience
If you’ve ever wanted to try scuba diving, Rhodes is one of the best places to do it as the water is warm, calm and incredibly clear. The Scuba Diving Experience for Beginners is perfect if you’ve never tried it before. You’ll get full training, dive with an instructor and explore underwater caves, reefs and maybe even spot some colourful marine life. It’s such a fun and memorable activity to add to your girls’ trip especially if you’re looking to try something new together! Prices start from £65 per person and can be prebooked on Viator.
I hope this guide on the best things to do in Rhodes was useful and has given you plenty of ideas for planning your own trip to this beautiful island. I’ve also written a full guide to Rhodes which you can read here, which includes where to stay and places to eat at! This island really is the perfect mix of culture, history and relaxation, and I can’t wait for you to experience it for yourself.
