Sleepless in Seattle in Concert
If you’re visiting London in February and love romantic experiences, Sleepless in Seattle in Concert on 14 February 2026 is one of my favourite picks of things to do. It’s taking place at the Royal Festival Hall and this unique event pairs the beloved romantic comedy with a live orchestra performing the swoon-worthy soundtrack in high definition. For anyone who adores classic romcom films or just wants a cinematic Valentine’s evening, this is where you’ll witness music from romantic standards and original songs that made the film iconic.
Tickets start from £36.50 and include a £2.50 booking fee with the film starting at 7.30pm.
Valentine’s Movies on JOIA Rooftop
Another standout on your list of best things to do in London in February is the Valentine’s movie series on the JOIA Rooftop at art’otel Battersea Power Station. If you’re in the city between 12th and 14th February, you can enjoy a night of romance with dinner followed by classic love stories shown under the sky. Each evening features a different film including Bridget Jones’s Diary, The Notebook or Dirty Dancing, making it perfect whether you’re celebrating with a partner or your girls.
They will also provide you with cosy blankets, hot water bottles and popcorn so you stay warm and comfortable while watching. As part of this experience you get dinner overlooking Battersea Power Station before the movie begins making it a memorable night in one of London’s most stylish rooftop settings.
Tickets start from £80 per person with dinner starting at 5pm.
Chinese Lunar New Year in London
One of the most fun and culturally things to do in London in February is the Chinese Lunar New Year celebrations. In 2026 London’s festival runs from 21st to 22nd February and highlights the Year of the Horse. The festivities spread through the West End from Chinatown to Trafalgar Square, and include colourful parades, stage performances, traditional food and family friendly entertainment.
The parade typically features lion and dragon dances that zigzag through the streets, while crowds celebrate with festive music and cultural displays. Leicester Square hosts family activities and workshops and there are often additional performances on Dean Street and Shaftesbury Avenue. The best things is that this celebration is free to attend, which makes it such a cultural highlight for anyone visiting London in February.

It’s such a great activity with the girls and don’t forget to warm up with hot chocolate, mulled wine or coffee from the lounge bar.
Tickets start from £9 per person.
Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens
If you’re after something beautiful, the Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens is a wonderful choice. It’s running from 7th February to 8th March 2026 and this floral celebration fills the Princess of Wales glasshouse with vibrant displays, inspired by China’s biodiversity heritage and design traditions.
As you walk among orchids butterflies and lantern inspired floral art installations, you’ll feel a burst of colour and warmth in the middle of winter. Orchid After Hours events are also available if you want an evening visit with music lighting and a unique glasshouse atmosphere. You need to book a time slot for entry and prices start from £26.50.

Another standout on February’s activity list is the Mundo Pixar Experience. It opens up 13th February 2026 and this immersive exhibition brings beloved Disney and Pixar worlds to life across interactive spaces. You can step inside Andy’s room from Toy Story, dive into the ocean with Finding Nemo, or explore Inside Out’s control centre with real life sized sets and photo ready moments throughout.
