Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush Review (2026)

I always think finding a good hotel in London is always a challenge because I have soooo many boxes I’d like it to tick. Well I can say that Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush ended up checking far more of those boxes than expected! It’s one of the newer hotel openings in West London and is located just a 5 minute walk from Shepherd’s Bush Station, which makes it a really practical base if you want to explore London without staying right in the centre.

As soon as I walked in I was truly obsessed with the decor and interior. From the retro phone in the bedroom to the warm textures and layered materials, I could actually see myself redecorating my future home similar to this. This Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush Review covers the room, location, facilities and everything I actually noticed during my stay.

Quick Verdict

Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush Review

If you’re looking for a London hotel that feels well designed and genuinely relaxing to come back to after a full day in the city, I think Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush is such a good option.

A lot of London hotels can feel either too business focused, too basic or just lacking personality, but this felt like somewhere that had actually been designed with experience in mind. It has that balance of being aesthetically thought through whilst still feeling comfortable and practical for an actual city stay.

I also think the location works really well if you want to explore London without staying directly in the busiest tourist areas, which is definitely something I appreciated. Being based in West London meant it felt calmer coming back in the evenings, whilst still being incredibly easy to get around.

I would absolutely stay here again for a London weekend, especially for a girls trip, a solo stay or even a work trip where you still want the hotel itself to feel enjoyable to spend time in rather than just somewhere to sleep.

The Room – Premium King Bedroom

Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush bathroom

I stayed in the Premium King Bedroom at Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush and it immediately felt like one of those rooms you settle into very quickly. The overall design felt clean and modern but still warm at the same time, which I think can actually be quite hard for hotels to get right. Sometimes modern hotels end up feeling cold or overly minimal, but this still felt cosy whilst keeping that elevated city hotel look.

As soon as I walked into the room, the decor stood out straight away. I loved the layered textures, the warm lighting and the little details throughout the space that made it feel much more considered than a standard hotel room. The green detailing in the bathroom especially stood out to me as it tied into the rest of the interiors really well.

The retro style pink telephone and matching radio were probably my favourite details in the room. They both actually work, which made it feel less like decoration and more like part of the experience of staying there. It gave the room personality and made it feel memorable rather than feeling like every other hotel room in London.

One thing I also really appreciated was how big the mirrors were because that is something I always struggle with in city hotels. Getting ready feels so much easier when you actually have decent mirror space instead of tiny mirrors with bad lighting. The room size also felt really comfortable (and big) for a London stay. It never felt cramped and I loved the addition of the chair and table setup in front of the bed because it gave me somewhere to put my bags, outfits and everything else without feeling like I was living out of a suitcase on the floor.

The bed was also extremely comfortable and one thing I noticed almost immediately at night was how quiet the room was. As someone who is a very light sleeper, hotel noise is always something I pick up on quickly, especially in London, but I genuinely heard nothing during the night which made such a difference.

Location of Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush

The location ended up being one of the biggest strengths of this stay. Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush is located around a 5 minute walk from Shepherd’s Bush Station, which made getting around London really straightforward throughout my stay.

You’re also directly next to Westfield London, which is ideal if you want shopping, restaurants or somewhere easy to grab food without needing to travel far. Holland Park is around a 20 minute walk away and Notting Hill is only a few minutes on the tube, so it’s very easy to move between different areas of West London.

You literally have everything nearby, but you’re not stepping straight into huge tourist crowds the second you leave the hotel which is something I really loved about this hotel. I also think this location works especially well if your London trip involves exploring multiple neighbourhoods rather than staying in one specific area the entire time.

Food and Drink at Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush

Flock starters
Flock dinner

One thing I always pay attention to when staying at a hotel is whether I’d actually want to eat there more than once during the trip, and Flock Restaurant definitely surprised me in a good way. Flock is located just off the lobby area and feels very in keeping with the rest of the hotel design, and has that same warm, modern feel without feeling too formal.

For dinner, we tried the three course set menu which includes a starter, main and dessert. Prices start from £35 per person, which I actually think is really good value considering the portion sizes and quality of the food. To start, we ordered the Spicy Nduja Scotch Egg and the Polenta Crostini, and the scotch egg was probably one of the best I’ve had in a very long time!

For mains, we went for the Margherita Pizza and the Half Brined Chicken. The pizzas are cooked in their stone oven and you can definitely tell because the base had that perfect texture where it still felt light whilst having a really good crisp edge. The chicken was also a standout because it was packed with so much flavour and it was HUGE so didn’t manage to finish it all off.

For dessert, we ordered the Caramelised Banana Cheesecake and the Chocolate Tiramisu. The cheesecake had this almost rice like texture which sounds unusual but actually worked so well, and the chocolate tiramisu was the perfect way to end the meal.

The next morning we also had breakfast at the hotel. The buffet breakfast isn’t included within the room price as standard, but you do have the option to add it onto your stay.

My favourite travel tip

Price and Value

Rooms at Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush start from around £149 per night, which I actually think is very reasonable considering the location, interiors and how new the hotel is. London hotel pricing can get expensive very quickly, especially once you start looking at hotels that feel more design led or are located near good transport connections.

I also think the value becomes stronger when you factor in how much easier the location makes your trip. Being close to the tube, Westfield and multiple West London neighbourhoods means you’re not constantly spending time travelling across the city. For me, this felt like one of those hotels where the overall experience matched the price point well.

Facilities at Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush

The hotel currently includes a lobby bar, Flock restaurant, coworking space and a 24 hour accessible gym. The gym being open 24 hours is a really good addition for city stays because you’re not restricted to specific times if your days end up busy. Once the spa opens later in 2026, I do think this will become an even stronger staycation hotel option within London.

What I liked during my Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush

There were quite a few things that stood out to me during this stay beyond just the room itself. The lobby bar was one of those spaces I kept naturally gravitating back towards at the end of the day. It had such a relaxed atmosphere and felt somewhere you could easily sit for a drink, before heading upstairs rather than it just being a hotel lobby people walk through quickly.

Flock restaurant downstairs was also a really nice surprise. The menu focuses on modern European dishes and the food was genuinely one of my highlights during the trip. I also liked that the hotel includes a coworking space, because it makes the hotel work really well for people mixing travel with remote work or content creation days.

Another thing worth mentioning is that there’s a spa opening later in 2026, which I think will make this an even stronger option for London staycations once completed.

The interiors throughout the entire hotel felt really cohesive as well. Every space felt designed intentionally and there were so many small details that made the hotel feel memorable without trying too hard.

What to know before booking Hotel Indigo West Shepherd’s Bush

I think it’s worth knowing before booking that this is not a central London hotel, so if your goal is to walk everywhere around Soho, Covent Garden or Mayfair, you will still be relying on the tube throughout your trip. That being said, the transport links are very good so it never felt difficult getting around.

The area around Shepherd’s Bush is also more practical than picturesque, but the advantage is that you get far more convenience and space compared to staying directly in central London. It’s also worth noting that some facilities, including the spa, are still due to open later in 2026.
