Galleria Park Hotel Review: Is This One of the Best Hotels in Downtown San Francisco?

    • It’s day 5 in San Francisco and here’s everything I got up to:

☕ started the morning with another Equator coffee because I genuinely couldn’t stop thinking about the one I had yesterday

🚆 then we caught the Caltrain down to Palo Alto for a day exploring Stanford University

🚌 once we arrived we used the free Stanford shuttle bus to explore the campus

🏛️ went up Hoover Tower which costs $8 and gives you incredible 360 degree views across the university

🛍️ after exploring we headed over to Stanford Shopping Center for lunch and a bit of shopping

⚾ headed back to San Francisco for an evening at Oracle Park to watch the Giants play baseball

🌃 even though the Giants lost the atmosphere was still amazing and I’m so glad we did it

Follow to see everything I get up to on day 6 in San Francisco!

    • It’s day 4 in San Francisco and here’s everything I got up to:

🥯 started the morning with breakfast at Noah’s Bagels which was only a 10 min walk from the hotel

🚌 then we caught the bus out to the Golden Gate Bridge parking lot which took around 40 mins and was super easy

☕ first stop was Round House Cafe and the views here were insane

🌉 we then walked down to Fort Point which was built during the Civil War to protect the harbour and later used in World War 2

🧺 continued over to West Bluff Picnic Area which was so peaceful and even had a small souvenir shop

🌁 walked back up onto the Golden Gate Bridge itself and the views looking out towards Downtown San Francisco were just unreal

🚍 then we took the bus over to Sausalito which took around 18 mins

⛴️ spent a couple of hours there before getting the ferry back to San Francisco

🚋 from the Ferry Building we jumped on the streetcar to Fisherman’s Wharf to see the sea lions

🍔 finished the day with dinner at In-N-Out which you absolutely have to do in California

    • Yes you read that right, I only paid $25 to see the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park ⚾️

I booked the tickets directly on the MLB website and was actually surprised that the cheapest seats start from around $25 which makes it such a good experience to add into your San Francisco itinerary without it being expensive.

Once you’ve booked, you need to download the Ballpark app to access your tickets because they don’t accept screenshots which is really important to know before you go. Everything is stored in the app so you just scan your phone at the gate and you’re in.

Watching a live baseball game in the US is honestly such an experience. The atmosphere inside the stadium, the crowd, the music, the national anthem before the game and just being part of it all makes it feel so different to watching it on TV. Even if you’re not a huge sports fan, it’s still 100% worth doing while you’re in the city.

Another thing I loved was how easy it was to get there from our hotel @galleriaparkhotel . It was only a short ride away and we were actually back at the hotel in around 10 minutes on the bus after the game which made it super easy to plan into the day without worrying about a long journey home!

SHARE this with someone who’s visiting SF this year.

    • It’s day 3 in San Francisco and here’s everything I got up to:

🚇 hopped on the metro from Montgomery Station to Castro which is known as one of the first gay neighbourhoods in the US
🌆 walked across to Mission Dolores Park and the skyline views were incredible
☕ explored Haight Ashbury which is famous for the 1960s hippie movement and full of vintage shops, cafés and colourful streets
🌳 spent the afternoon exploring Golden Gate Park and I genuinely think it might now be my favourite city park over Central Park
🏛️ went up the free observation tower at the de Young Museum for 360 degree views across San Francisco
🍵 wandered through the Japanese Tea Garden, Stow Lake and Queen Wilhelmina Garden
🦬 saw bison for the first time ever which I was not expecting in San Francisco
🌊 walked across to Ocean Beach to see the Pacific Ocean
🌮 stopped for Mexican food at Tia Margarita
🌅 ended the day at Baker Beach watching the sunset with views of the Golden Gate Bridge

Also shoutout to @galleriaparkhotel for the free PATH water bottles + refill stations because I’ve genuinely been carrying mine everywhere with me (got to stay hydrated)!!
